Changelog
What's new in Citeably
Free tools and an MCP server
- Free generators for llms.txt, JSON-LD and FAQ schema, and a robots.txt for AI crawlers, plus a site readiness checker. No signup.
- An open MCP server at citeably.app/mcp: audit a site for AI crawlers, and see which brands AI named in a category, from Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT.
- The Sources tab now lists the exact pages engines cited under each site, not only the domain.
Who AI recommends, comparisons and SEO basics
- Who AI recommends: dated pages showing which brands ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude named for ten buyer categories.
- One comparison page per tool (Citeably vs Semrush, Profound, Otterly.AI, Peec AI, Ahrefs) and a page on how AI visibility differs from brand monitoring.
- The site audit now also checks indexing, canonical link, sitemap, title and description length and the social preview image.
- Shorter, answer-first report layout: verdict, gap and next move first, details collapsed.
Comparisons and guides
- Honest comparison of AI visibility tools, and of the free checkers.
- Guides on llms.txt, AI crawlers in robots.txt, and how to check whether ChatGPT recommends your brand.
Citeably launched
- Free AI visibility check across several AI engines, with the real answers, who was named instead, and a first fix.
